Happy Birthday Gamer Boy!

This is cross posted (and added on to) from my other blog Ups, Downs, Ins and Outs, as Tuesday's Tunes is a weekly feature there...

I still can't believe how quickly time has flown and how much all the kids have grown! It seems like just last week I was struggling to get Gamer Boy to eat as a baby - and wow! I can barely remember him being so small. But amazingly 9 YEARS have past and now my little baby boy, he's not so little anymore! Now he's my Gamer Boy, my Lego "Master Builder", my football player, but still and always the sweetest kid, simply the most amazing boy-child that a mom could ask for.

So on his 9th birthday I wish nothing but the very best to my son and give him the chance to help me out on my blog!

It's Gamer Boy's birthday today and so I let him pick this week's Tuesday's Tunes!
 
He picked this song because it's one of his current favorites - ever since he saw the movie Big Hero 6 and heard it there he's had this as a constant on his iPod, or rather my old iPod. ;-) 

He and his sisters - Princess and Angel Face enjoying singing and dancing to this song whenever and wherever they can... and I do mean wherever - the kitchen, walking down the street, the middle of the aisle at the grocery store. Seriously anywhere.
 
So here's one for Gamer Boy - I hope you'll enjoy it even a fraction as much as I know he will!

A Quickie!

So here's an update on the whole oven/stove issue. Allow me to briefly describe the conversation I had with my mom... Me: It worked before and now it doesn't. It's broken. (somewhat paraphrased) Mom: Check the fuses. Me: I will, but I'd rather have a new one. Mom: And if that's not it then replace the elements. Me: I will. But I'd really prefer a new one. Our Newest Treasure

After all the waiting, both patient and impatiently, the baby is finally here!!! So without further ado, I'd like to introduce to you all: Helyn Saphira Marie Our precious jewel ;) Born August 6, 2008 [08-06-08] 5:59pm 7lbs 12oz, 21 1/4 inches (our biggest baby!) As for information on the actual birth, for those of you who are interested... I mentioned in my last post I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday afternoon and when he checked me I was 3cm dilated. Now at this point [1:15pm] I wasn't actually having any contractions and by the end of the appointment he had made arrangements to induce me on Thursday morning - which would have been the 7th. I went from the doctors office to my mom's office to let her know how things had gone and to visit for a few minutes. By 2pm I'd started to have a few contractions but I didn't think too much about them as they weren't really all that different from what I'd been having for the last week or so. By 2:30p

It occurred to me while I was trying to write a post recently – one that included most, if not all, of our (still growing) immediate family on both sides, that there are now quite a lot of us AND when telling stories it can get very confusing to follow precisely who is involved.
